Rainbow brings 44 Cats to life

The Italian prodco is creating a new CGI preschool series that follows the lives of anthropomorphic cats.
April 3, 2017

Rainbow, the Italian production company behind Winx Club and Maggie & Bianca: Fashion Friends, is launching a brand-new CGI preschool show entitled 44 Cats.

The 52 x 13-minute series is about a group of felines that acts like humans when no one is around. The name, 44 Cats, comes from a popular Italian song that made its first TV broadcast on singing competition series Zecchino d’oro in 1968.

The announcement comes less than a week after Rainbow made a deal with Disney Channel GSA for its first live-action production, Maggie & Bianca: Fashion Friends.
