Milan-based Atlantyca Entertainment will see its new Bat Pat animated series star in a variety of themes on Nintendo 3DS family systems, following a multi-territory licensing deal with the Japanese gaming giant.

Starting this month, images, icons and backgrounds from the show will be used to create a range of personalized menu themes on handheld 3DS devices. The themes will be available for sale to anyone who owns a 3DS family system, and will be available in Europe, South Africa, Australia and New Zealand.

Bat Pat (52 x 11 minutes) is produced by Atlantyca Entertainment and Imira, with participation from Rai Fiction and RTVE. Airing in Italy, Spain, Belgium, Sweden, Lithuania and the Middle East, the series follows Pat and his Silver siblings as they try to help their town solve mysteries about scary creatures.

The deal follows previous Nintendo licensing partnerships for Atlantyca’s Geronimo Stilton and Thea Sisters series.
