Bogotá, Colombia-based video game developer Teravision Games and Ánima Estudios have joined forces to create mobile apps based on the Mexican studio’s IP for kids and families.
First up for the joint-venture will be a game app based on Ánima Estudios’ Las Leyendas (The Legends), Netflix’s first animated original series from Latin America.
The game will feature two of the IP’s most beloved characters, Finado and Moribunda, who will fight against different enemy ghosts and monsters that become more difficult to defeat with each new level.
The Legends is a 13-episode series based on a trilogy of Ánima Estudios local kids films (La Leyenda de la Nahuala, La Leyenda de la Llorona and La Leyenda de las Momias), and characters created by producer Ricardo Arnaiz.
Since launching a decade ago, Teravision has created more than 80 video games for mobile, PC and more recently for VR working with the likes of Disney, Nickelodeon, DHX Media, PBS, Namco and Atari.
The game partnership comes as the kids content business, particularly in originals, is growing in Latin America.
