Paris-based Cottonwood Media has tapped New York-based Spotlight Licensing to handle consumer products for its Sprout preschool series The Ollie & Moon Show in the US and Canada. The licensing agent is on the hunt for toys, games, travel goods, apps, apparel, accessories and room decor licensees.

Spotlight also plans to explore other categories that will highlight the show’s theme of children traveling on real or imaginary adventures.

The 52 x 11-minute series follows two cats as they travel around the world. It is based on the bestselling book series Ollie & Moon, created by author and illustrator Diane Kredensor. Kredensor also serves as a creative producer on the show, employing her past experience as a director and producer working on shows like Pinky and the Brain and Clifford the Big Red Dog.

The Ollie & Moon Show was developed by Kredensor, Robert Vargas (Wonder Pets!) and David Michel (Totally Spies!), and has already been picked up in more than 160 territories globally. The series will begin airing in the US on Sprout on May 27, followed by Netflix in 2018. It currently airs on provincial pubcasters TVO and Knowledge in Canada.
