July 5, 2017

Toonz Media Group’s new mobile game-derived animated series Smighties is set to make its digital debut tomorrow exclusively on YouTube and the YouTube Kids app.

Based on New York IP owner Herotainment’s popular online and mobile game of the same name, the 39 x seven-minute comedy/adventure series follows six small but mighty superheroes—Zip, Zap, Nardy, Melody, Leila and Dude—who embrace teamwork, friendship and fun.

Targeting kids ages four to seven and their families, the series will also introduce more than 130 unique Smightie characters from five different regions.

The first three episodes of the series will be available from July 6 on the Smighties YouTube Channel and on YouTube Kids in English, French and Spanish, with more languages expected to follow.

Smighties is produced by Toonz Studios, the flagship division of India-based Toonz Media Group, in partnership with Herotainment. Credits of the show’s multi-Emmy award-winning seven-member writing team include Duck Tales, Winnie the Pooh, Secret Millionaires Club, Clifford the Big Red Dog, Angry Birds Toons and Super Wings.

Toonz and Herotainment also share linear television and global L&M plans for the brand.
