Nickelodeon has started production on Inside Voice, a live-action TV movie featuring virtual reality sequences developed and created by the kidsnet’s new Entertainment Lab.
Starring Jace Norman (Henry Danger) and JoJo Siwa (JoJo Siwa: My World), the comedy is set to bow in 2018.
Inside Voice follows a kid who, after a virtual reality mishap, starts saying every thought he has out loud. Desperate to get back to normal, Jeremy Martin (Norman) and his sister Victoria (Siwa) have to figure out how to get his voice back inside his head. Norman will also serve as a co-producer on Inside Voice alongside Amy Sydorick. It is being executive produced by Scott McAboy and Michael Sammaciccia.
Production is currently underway in Vancouver, Canada. Inside Voice marks the third linear project to feed through the Entertainment Lab, following Lincoln Loud “Live” and Nick’s upcoming TV movie Escape from Mr. Lemoncello’s Library. Launched in May, the Burbank-based research and development facility focuses on identifying and experimenting with emerging technologies, including real-time rendering, virtual cinema, virtual reality, augmented and mixed reality, and artificial intelligence.
