California-based Genius Brands International has appointed a number of new licensing partners for its animated preschool series Rainbow Rangers. New licensees include Global Design Concepts (bags and luggage), Handcraft (underwear) and Taste Beauty (bath and beauty products).

The trio joins master toy partner Fisher-Price, which will produce a line featuring dolls/figures, playsets, plush, vehicles, musical toys, role play, technology and interactive toys. Additional licensing partners include H.E.R. Accessories (accessories), Bentex (apparel) and Franco Manufacturing (bedding and home décor).

The 52 x 11-minute series is set to bow on Nick Jr. US in 2018. Rainbow Rangers follows Earth’s First Responders, a group of seven girls dedicated to protecting the environment and its animal inhabitants. The show’s first two seasons are currently in development.

As Genius Brands revs up the Rainbow Rangers brand, the company’s other girl-skewing property, tween brand SpacePOP, has expanded into a number of categories since making its debut on YouTube last year, recently inspiring an exclusive line with Toys “R” Us in the US.
