UK pay-TV giant Sky has ordered a second season of Offspring Films’ Wild Files for its Sky Kids offerings. The natural history series from the Bristol-based production company will focus on monkeys and apes in its upcoming season.
The new nine-part season, Monkeys and Apes: Wild Files, will follow the same formula as the show’s first edition, Big Cats: Wild Files. Host Patrick Aryee will use wildlife imagery, graphics and fun facts to teach kids about the animals, while specifically focusing on agility, teamwork, skills and superpowers to figure out which species will come out on top.
The Sky Original Production will be available on Sky on-demand and the Sky Kids app. It follows a string of factual programming that includes last year’s launch of Duck Quacks Don’t Echo, a kid-friendly version of the popular Sky 1 science panel show.
