Ottawa, Canada’s Mercury Filmworks has expanded its management team and promoted several key executives, including supervising producer Chantal Ling (pictured), who has been upped to VP of original series and co-productions.

Ling, who joined Mercury in 2012 from a post as EVP of Amberwood Entertainment, will oversee the development, financing and production of series and co-pros. She will also support the management team at Kilkenny, Ireland-based Lighthouse Studios, Mercury Filmworks’ 2D-focused animation studio launched earlier this year with Ireland’s Cartoon Saloon. Ling will work with Mercury’s head of development Travis Williams, chief creative officer Jerry Popowich and CEO Clint Eland, to whom she’ll report.

Meanwhile, Mercury’s head of studio, Jefferson Allen, has been upped to VP of studio operations. Allen, who oversees Mercury’s Ottawa studio production pipeline, will now manage all general production and studio operations.

Current VPs Sandra Green and Nicole St. Pierre have been promoted to SVP of finance and SVP of business and legal, respectively. Both will oversee the legal, business and finance operations of the company, as well as supporting operations for Lighthouse Studios.

Mercury has also added a new member to its team. Tara Pollock joins as studio manager, reporting to Jefferson Allen. She’ll be charged with managing artist recruitment and employee training and development, among other duties.

Mercury currently has 10 projects in various stages of production and development, including two series for Amazon Studios and four series for Disney Television Animation. The studio’s portfolio includes providing service work on Disney series like The Lion Guard and Tangled, as well as other animated shows including Atomic Puppet and Netflix’s upcoming toon Hilda.
