China Nebula Group (CNB) has signed a mutli-license deal for Cartoon Saloon’s Puffin Rock. The agreement will bring the show to China for the first time with CNB handling all TV, digital, merchandising and toy rights.

Since its debut on Chinese digital media network Tencent six week ago, Puffin Rock has garnered 55 million streams. And the English-language version of seasons one and two will officially launch in China next month.

The series, co-produced by Cartoon Saloon, Dog Ears and Penguin Random House, follows a family of puffins on an Irish island mixing natural history with humor. It was nominated for an International Emmy Kids Award this week in the preschool category. (Superights handles international distribution.)

Puffin Rock already airs worldwide on Netflix and via local broadcasters including RTEjr. (Ireland) and Nick Jr., BBC Alba and Channel 5 in the UK.
