London-based Media I.M. has signed a three-year distribution deal with Discovery Kids India for Sunny Bunnies. The agreement covers pay-TV, simulcast and catch-up rights for seasons one and two of Belarus-based Digital Light Studio’s non-dialog series.
Aimed at four- to seven-year-olds, Sunny Bunnies will make its Indian broadcast debut this month. The 26 x 3.5-minute toon already airs in more than 160 countries, thanks to multiple Disney broadcast deals.
In other Sunny Bunnies news, Brazilian SVOD app PlayKids has picked up season one of the show. UK SVOD KidsCast has also acquired season one for its entertainment hub.
Sunny Bunnies follows five bright balls that appear wherever there is a source of light. Media I.M has held exclusive worldwide rights (including TV, digital and VOD) outside of Russia, CIS and China since December 2015, following the show’s premiere on Disney Channel in Russia and CIS.
