Cartoon Network has renewed OK K.O.! Let’s Be Heroes for a second season, which will bow in 2018. Developed in tandem with the upcoming season, new console video game OK K.O.! Let’s Play Heroes will also be released on PlayStation4, Xbox One and Windows PC via Steam early next year.
Created by Ian Jones-Quartey (Steven Universe), the toon’s second season will follow K.O., Enid and Rad as they level up in all new adventures while trying to protect their beloved Lakewood Plaza Turbo from new threats and villains. Season one episodes are available on the Cartoon Network App for iPhone, iPad and Apple TV through the App Store, and on Android devices using Google Play, Amazon Fire TV, Roku and Xbox One.
OK K.O.! Let’s Be Heroes premiered this past summer in the US, and was inspired by Jones-Quartey’s short entitled OK K.O.! Lakewood Plaza Turbo.
As for the upcoming console game, OK K.O.! Let’s Play Heroes is published by Cartoon Network, developed by Toronto’s Capybara Games and written in collaboration with Jones-Quartey. Blending side-scrolling action and RPG Elements, the game follows K.O. trying to help his friends and rise up as the true hero of Lakewood Plaza by battling Lord Boxman’s evil robot army.
