Florida-based toyco Jazwares has appointed Guy Thomas as VP of retail sales, mass market, as the company continues to bolster its global retail strategy. Thomas was most recently VP of sales at Auldey Toys North America, and also held previous sales and management roles at Mega Brands and POOF Slinky.
The new hire follows Jazwares upping former Mind Candy exec Sam Ferguson to VP of licensing, as the company looks to ramp up its original IP development. In August, Jazwares also hired four new execs to fill out its ranks including Chris Cofoni as VP of specialty and mid-tier sales, as well as Chris Parrish, Audrey Knott and Monika Salazar for senior director roles.
Earlier this year, Jazwares partnered with Roblox (pictured) to bring the social gaming platform’s characters to life in a line of 40 action figures. The toy company also represents eOne’s Ben & Holly as well as Peppa Pig brands.
