Nickelodeon is set to premiere its new original TV movie, Blurt, on February 19. Starring Jace Norman (Henry Danger, Rufus), JoJo Siwa (Lip Sync Battle Shorties) and Daniella Perkins (Knight Squad), the live-action comedy tells the story of a kid who starts saying every thought he has out loud after a virtual reality mishap.

The TV movie is executive produced by Scott McAbooy and Michael Sammaciccia. Amy Sydorick serves as producer, with Norman serving as co-producer.

Blurt‘s virtual reality sequences are developed and created by Nickelodeon’s Entertainment Lab. The network’s new division spearheads long-range research and development efforts around emerging technologies, including real-time rendering, virtual reality, augmented and mixed reality, and artificial intelligence.

Blurt is the most recent project to feed through the Entertainment Lab, following in the footsteps of the upcoming TV movie Escape from Mr. Lemoncello’s Library.
