France’s Xilam Animation has partnered with India-based mobile game company Nazara Technologies to further expand its Oggy & the Cockroaches brand into gaming.
The deal will see Nazara launch a raft of new mobile titles inspired by the animated series, with the first game set to launch in Q1 2018 in Asia Pacific, Latin America and the Middle East. Nazara operates in 61 countries and has licensed mobile gaming rights to kids IP including Chhota Bheem, Motu Patlu and Mighty Raju.
The agreement was brokered by Xilam and Dream Theatre, its licensing agent in India.
Non-dialog Oggy and the Cockroaches airs on Cartoon Network and Nickelodeon. Targeting kids aged six to 11, the series is distributed in more than 160 countries worldwide.
