Nickelodeon US is set to premiere a new live-action animal clip show, entitled Zoofari, from Spanish-language entertainment company Cisneros Media.

Created and produced by Cisneros’ MOBIUS.LAB Productions, the 20 x half-hour series features funny footage of furry, feathered and scaly animals from around the world. The season will also see kids spend a day in the life of desert animals and dive into the underwater home of sea dwellers.

Following its US premiere on February 5 at 2 p.m. (ET/PT), a new episode will air every weekday through February 16 in the same timeslot. Zoofari will launch internationally later this year.

In other Nickelodeon news, Viacom International Media Networks (VIMN) has sold a raft of animated preschool content to Brazil’s free-to-air network TV Cultura and Mexican national broadcast network Imagen. The former has acquired and will debut the first seasons of Rusty Rivets and Nella the Princess Knight this month, while also picking up PAW Patrol season three and the second seasons of Blaze and the Monster Machines, Dora and Friends and Shimmer & Shine.

Imagen, meanwhile, has purchased the first seasons of Shimmer and Shine, Team Umizoomi, Dora and Friends and Bubble Guppies. The content will be added to the broadcaster’s weekend kids schedule, which launched last fall.
