Viacom International Media Networks has announced that Mark Kingston has been promoted to SVP at Nickelodeon and Viacom Consumer Products, where he will oversee the company’s consumer products business, promotions and marketing efforts outside of the US across retail, operations and licensing.

Based in London, Kingston will report to Pam Kaufman, CMO at Nickelodeon and president of Nickelodeon Consumer Products. He will replace Ron Johnson, who has left the company.

Kingston, whose previous roles focused on Europe, the Middle East and Africa, first joined Viacom in 2011 as VP of European licensing, retail sales and trade marketing. Prior to working at Nickelodeon, Kingston held various roles at The Walt Disney Company and BBC Worldwide.

Earlier this month, Nickelodeon International and Viacom Consumer Products inked a global, multi-property merchandise agreement with Saban Brands Israel-owned Wise ToysThe deal–which excludes US territories–will cover a number of Wise Toys’ smart toy lines, including plush smartphone and tablet protector Wise Pet, as well as an augmented reality activity box set.
