Industrial Brothers, The Jim Henson Company and CBC co-pro Dot. is making way for a second season. The toon, inspired by the children’s book of the same name by media exec Randi Zuckerberg, will bow its second season on Canadian pubcaster CBC and Universal Kids in the US this fall. It will also stream exclusively on Hulu at that time.
The series is aimed at kids ages four to seven and aims to teach them how tech can enhance play and exploration. Matthew Fernandes, Arthur Spanos and Tammy Semen (Industrial Brothers), as well as Lisa Henson and Halle Stanford (The Jim Henson Company) and Randi Zuckerberg will all serve as executive producers for the new episodes.
The Jim Henson Company handles distribution rights to Dot. outside of Canada and all consumer products rights to the property worldwide.
The series recently sold to broadcasters in Ireland, Finland, Israel, Australia and Korea, joining Disney Channel Japan, Piwi+ in France and SVT in Sweden.
