French distributor APC Kids has signed a raft of new broadcast deals for its animated series Kid-E-Cats. The toon, which currently airs globally on Nick Jr., will now be available on Turner’s Cartoonito in Italy, HBO Spain, MTG Latvia and Lithuania, and C4U (Kids1TV) in South Korea.

Based on a Russian series produced by CTC Media and Studio Metrafilm, the international version of Kid-E-Cats premiered on Nick Jr. in November 2017. It was later picked up by additional broadcasters including YLE (Finland), TG4 (Ireland), TV Puls (Poland) and Knowledge Network (Canada).

The English-language series is executive produced by former Zodiak Kids UK CEO Nigel Pickard, while Ceri Barnes serves as story editor. The 52 x five-minute preschool show follows three kittens that try to solve problems with absurd suggestions. The original version still airs in Russia on Carousel.
