DHX-owned digital kids network WildBrain has taken over management of Paris-based Cyber Group Studios’ YouTube channels and digital presence. The deal comes as the French producer and distributor has been ramping up its digital efforts in the past couple of months, following new studio openings in L.A. and Tourcoing, France.
WildBrain will use its analytics to manage Cyber Group’s YouTube channels—including ones for brands like Zou (pictured) and Zorro the Chronicles—and extend their exposure across platforms to more than 150 countries.
In addition to managing pre-existing brands, WildBrain will jointly develop digital-exclusive productions with Cyber Group. The companies will announce their first IP this spring.
WildBrain’s YouTube network consists of more than 35 million subscribers. The company recently inked a multi-year deal with JibJab Studios to manage its StoryBots channel through original content, comment moderation and growth techniques. It also oversees all of Moose Toys’ YouTube Channels for Shopkins, Grossery Gang, Happy Places and Twozies.
