Florida-based toy and novelty company Basic Fun! has purchased all of the assets of Pennsylvania-based construction toy maker K’NEX.

Basic Fun! will continue to manufacture K’NEX rods and connectors at an eco-friendly manufacturing facility in Pennsylvania under a long-term agreement previously signed with The Rodon Group. It will also continue to operate the company’s office and distribution center in Hatfield, Pennsylvania.

K’NEX products can be bought at major brick-and-mortar retailers, and online, all over the world.

Basic Fun! was acquired by The Bridge Direct in 2013, along with its owner at the time, The Good Stuff Corporation. Basic Fun! continues to expand its portfolio with the introduction of a toilet-themed collectibles line called Poopeez, which debuted last November. Recently, the toyco tapped Brandberry founder and WIT president Ashley Mady to develop new concepts as head of brand development.
