Pocket.watch takes YouTube creators from screen to shelf

The media company has inked deals with The Bentex Group and Bonkers Toys to launch apparel and playthings inspired by YouTube stars like Ryan ToysReview (pictured).

California-based Pocket.watch has inked two new licensing agreements that will extend a number of creator partner brandsincluding YouTube stars Ryan ToysReview, EvanTubeHD, JillianTubeHD, HobbyKidsTV and Captain Sparklezinto consumer products.

Under its respective Pocket.watch Apparel and Pocket.watch Toys banners, the company has entered into a master apparel agreement with The Bentex Group and a toy licensing agreement with Bonkers Toys. The deals will lead to the creation of a dedicated line of apparel, toys and collectibles featuring the likenesses of popular YouTube creators as well as Pocket.watch’s original characters.

The Bentex Group’s clothing line will launch in time for holiday 2018 and will be promoted by Pocket.watch creators through their YouTube videos and social media pages. Bonkers Toys, meanwhile, will develop toy ranges for the YouTube stars under the Pocket.Watch Toys umbrella. The first toy line for Ryan ToysReview will include blind bag collectibles, figures, vehicles, plush and compounds (slime).

Pocket.Watch will also introduce a lifestyle aspect in both its apparel and toys banners tied to the YouTube creators’ favorite things.

These agreements follow the company’s partnership with Simon & Schuster Children’s Publishing division Simon Spotlight to create a Pocket.watch book imprint. The deal will see creator partners and original Pocket.watch characters appear in print.

Pocket.Watch creates, acquires, distributes and curates content for children ages two to 11 across a variety of platforms.
