Following a deal with Germany’s Studio 100, South Korean distributor CJ E&M has picked up exclusive TV and VOD rights to distribute Big & Small (pictured) and Zigby in Mainland China.

China’s Alibaba-owned Youku-Tudou, which has more than 30 million subscribers, recently became the first broadcaster to launch the two series.

Preschool toon Big & Small (78 x 11 minutes) is produced by London’s Kindle Entertainment and Belfast-based Sixteen South. CGI-animated Zigby, meanwhile, is a co-pro from Avrill Stark Entertainment and Big Animation based on the HarperCollins children’s book series of the same name.

The deal comes as Studio 100 continues to make moves in China. Most recently, the company signed a deal with Dadi Media for exclusive pay-TV, free-TV and VOD distribution rights to Arthur and the Minimoys and Tashi in Mainland China.
