In the lead-up to its summer programming schedule, Disney Channel is set to launch a new on-air and off-channel brand campaign aptly entitled GO! Summer.

The campaign will kick off on May 12 with a Disney Channel GO! Fan Fest at Disneyland Resort in Anaheim, California. Sponsored by Disney-owned SVOD service Hulu, the one-day event will feature a parade at Disneyland Park, panel discussions and meet and greets with stars from Andi Mack, Raven’s Home, Stuck in the Middle, Bizaardvark and Bunk’d, as well as Disney Channel Original Movies Zombies and Freaky Friday.

GO! Fan Fest will also include a live DuckTales table read with the voice cast of the hit reboot, now in its second season on Disney XD.

Following GO! Fan Fest, the campaign will embark on the Disney Channel GO! Road Trip in July and August. The interactive experience will let fans make their own Disney Channel Wand ID, play games, win prizes and participate in additional themed activities. Kids can also influence where the road trip goes by submitting location suggestions at DisneyChannelRoadTrip.com from May 12 through June 12.

As for Disney Channel’s summer programming lineup, new eps of DuckTales, Andi Mack and Stuck in the Middle will launch, as will season premieres of Raven’s Home, Tangled: The Series, Bizaardvark and Bunk’d, series premieres of Big Hero 6 The Series, Big City Greens, Bug Juice: My Adventures at Camp, and the Disney Channel Original Movie Freaky Friday. The 2018 Radio Disney Music Awards will also premiere, along with short-form content on the DisneyNOW app, Disney Channel YouTube and Disney.com.

With Hulu as the fan fest’s sponsor, the House of Mouse is also championing its lineup of Disney Channel series and movies on the streaming service, in which Disney became a majority stakeholder when it acquired Fox’s 30% stake in the SVOD as part of the company’s US$66.1-billion acquisition of 21st Century Fox last December. Disney content is currently accessible on Hulu’s live-TV streaming service and in its on-demand library.
