Viacom International Media Networks (VIMN) has expanded its collaboration with Indonesian mobile operator Telkomsel to launch a Nick Jr. linear channel in the region.

The preschool channel, which marks VIMN’s first linear launch with a mobile partner in the territory, will be available later this year in English and in Bahasa Indonesia localization. Preschool series available on the channel will include Shimmer and Shine, Blaze and the Monster Machines, PAW Patrol and Nella the Princess Knight. (The Nickelodeon Play app launched with Telkomsel in Indonesia last year.)

The announcement follows on the heels of strong global Q2 2018 results for Viacom’s Media Networks, which saw revenue increase by 1% to US$2.43 billion. While domestic revenue for Media Networks fell by 3% to US$1.86 billion in the quarter, this decline was offset by an 18% increase internationally to US$566 million.

Ancillary revenue for Media Networks was US$168 million in Q2 2018 (an increase of 30%). Overall, Q2 2018 saw Viacom’s net earnings grow by 112% to US$256 million, while adjusted net earnings increased by 17% to US$371 million. However, the media giant’s overall revenue declined by 3% to US$3.14 billion during the period.
