Talking Tom flies onto new broadcasters with Jetpack

Jetpack Distribution inked new agreements for Outfit7’s Talking Tom and Friends in Europe and Africa.

London’s Jetpack Distribution has inked a number of new agreements for Outfit7’s animated series Talking Tom and Friends.

Italy’s K2 picked up exclusive free-TV and non-exclusive VOD rights to the show’s second and third season, while Teletoon+ has struck a deal for TV and FVOD rights to seasons two and three as well as 40 one-minute shorts in Poland. In addition, Teletoon+ picked up second and third seasons in France, Monaco, Andorra, Mauritius, Comoros and Madagascar, Belgium, Luxembourg, Switzerland, Haiti, Vanuatu and Africa.

POP has inked an agreement for free-to-air TV and FVOD rights to season one in the UK and Ireland, and also signed a deal for pay-TV and FVOD rights to season one in Africa and Sub-Saharan Africa.

Talking Tom and Friends airs in 26 languages in 166 territories. Jetpack Distribution has previously signed agreements for the series with platforms and broadcasters in the UK and Ireland, Latin America, Australia, Asia, Turkey, the Middle East, North Africa, France, Belgium, Portugal, Greece, Russia, India, Israel, the UAE and Poland.

The original Talking Tom IP was introduced as an app in 2010. Since then, the brand has grown to encompass a suite of apps and games, consumer products and additional content. In 2017, Outfit7 was wholly acquired by China’s United Luck Consortium for US$1 billion.
