Toronto’s Blue Ant Media has tapped Salt Lake City-based Peeko to serve as global licensing agent for its kids broadcaster ZooMoo.
Peeko will develop licensing programs for the network’s properties, which include Teddies (pictured) and ZooMoo Wild Friends. It will also represent Blue Ant’s mobile game Flutter, created by New Zealand gaming company Runaway Play.
Following the agreement, Peeko is now searching for licensees in categories including apparel, publishing, toys and games, as well as sub-agents for selected regions.
Focusing on nature-and wildlife-based kids content, ZooMoo Networks is available in multiple territories including Mexico, Latin America, Singapore, Malaysia, Papua New Guinea, the Maldives, Indonesia, Australia and New Zealand. It is joint venture between DirectTV Latin America, which holds a 30% stake in the company, and Blue Ant.
Blue Ant picked up the broadcaster last year when it bought media organization Racat Group and its five Asia-Pacific prodcos and TV networks.
