London-based Acamar Films has secured new broadcast agreements, as well as a number of renewals, for its preschool series Bing in key international territories.
Deals have been inked with RAI YoYo (Italy), Fox Kids (Finland), RSI (Switzerland), Ceska Televize (Czech Republic), CJ E&M’s English Gem (South Korea) and Karousel’s preschool channel O! (Russia). Additionally, both ABC Australia and SVT Sweden renewed their license for the show’s first 78 episodes.
A number of SVOD agreements were also secured for the series, including Just 4 Kids and Videoland (Netherlands) as well as SF Studios (Nordics).
These new broadcaster deals join existing partners, including Nick Jr (Australia), Disney Junior (Southeast Asia), KiKa (Germany), NPO Zappelin (Netherlands), TVO and TFO (Canada), Okto (Singapore), S4C (Wales), RTE (Ireland), DR (Denmark), TiJi (France), Clan (Spain), BBC Worldwide Africa, Hop! Channel (Israel) and VRT (Belgium).
Produced by Acamar Films and Dublin’s Brown Bag Films, Bing first premiered on CBeebies in 2014. Acamar handles all global sales for the series.
Last year, Acamar Films extended its partnership with Mattel-owned Fisher-Price to serve as master toy licensee for the preschool property. Additional licensing partners include HarperCollins (publishing), Ravensburger (games), Woodmansterne (greeting cards), Rainbow Productions (costumes) and Studiocanal (home entertainment).
