Netflix is launching season two of British production company Lime Pictures’ Free Rein on July 6.

Season one of the 10 x half-hour live-action serialized series aired on Netflix and CBBC (UK) in 2017 and went on to win the Daytime Emmy Award for Outstanding Children’s Program this year.

Created and written by Anna McCleery and Vicki Lutas, the series, set on an island off the coast of Britain, follows 15-year-old Zoe whose life is changed when she meets a mysterious horse named Raven. It stars Jaylen Barron (Good Luck Charlie, Shameless) as Zoe as well as Navia Robinson (Being Mary Jane, Raven’s Home), Celine Buckens (War Horse), Kerry Ingram (Game of Thrones) and Natalie Gumede (Coronation Street).

Rebecca Hodgson serves as executive producer alongside Kate Little, Claire Poyser and Lara Olsen from Lime Pictures. It is produced by Angelo Abela and directed by Declan O’Dwyer (Wolf Blood, Merlin, Atlantis) along with Dusan Lazarevic.
