DHX Media-owned digital kids network WildBrain has inked an exclusive global agreement with animation studio Bromelia Productions for its kids brand Lottie Dottie Chicken.

The deal will see WildBrain manage the Brazilian brand’s English-language YouTube channels and launch the first season of the 26 x 12-minute YouTube miniseries Lottie Dottie Chicken in the US and UK. Moving forward, WildBrain will focus on increasing Lottie Dottie Chicken’s visibility among English-speaking audiences.

Aimed at kids ages six months to five years old, the brand launched on YouTube in 2006, featuring animated music videos and nursery rhymes. Lottie Dottie Chicken (known as Galinha Pintadinha in Brazil) was created by Juliano Prado and Marcos Luporini, and in 2016, the brand hatched the spinoff series Lottie Dottie Mini.

This agreement is the most recent in a raft of deals for WildBrain. Last month, the network signed an exclusive agreement with Sunrights to develop and manage global YouTube strategy (excluding Asia) for BeyBlade Burst. Additionally, WildBrain recently partnered with Brazilian animation studio Alopra to co-produce the second season of Hydro and Fluid, marking the first series it has ever co-produced.
