Florida-based toyco Jazwares is partnering with Epic Games to create a range of toys inspired by Fortnite. Available globally in December 2018, the line will feature true-to-game figures, playsets, game-replica weapons and tools, plush, vehicles, Domez, loot boxes and environments.

The deal was brokered by IMG, the brand’s exclusive worldwide agency for consumer products licensing and promotions, which signed on to handle the brand at the end of May.

Fortnite: Battle Royale launched on Microsoft Windows, macOS, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One in September before making its iOS debut in April. The game drops 100 players onto an island and allows them to team up with other users to fight against a horde of monsters. The franchise generated US$233 million in revenue in March alone, 73% higher than the previous month.

New data from youth and family research firm Smarty Pants found that Fortnite is one of the most popular brands among US kids ages six to 12.
