London-based Banijay Group announced that Jean-Philippe Randisi has stepped down from his role as CEO of Zodiak Kids. The prodco has begun searching for a replacement and a new CEO will be announced shortly.

Randisi joined Zodiak in 2014 and was responsible for drastically restructuring the kids prodco, merging three original entities in the UK and France into Zodiak Kids. Under his tenure, it produced Lilybuds, Floogals, Kody Kapow, Secret Life of Boys and Spy School. Digitally, he also aided in the expansion of the MCN business with the launch of ZeeKay Junior, Zeekay, and Mister Maker, which have garnered 5.5 billion views on YouTube.

This year, Zodiak Kids has begun co-producing series in China and the territory has become the company’s biggest market for distribution. Recently the prodco inked a raft of presale deals for Lilybuds in Europe, the Middle East, North Africa and Canada. It also partnered with Icelandic lifestyle brand Tulipop on a co-development and co-production deal for an animated TV series based on its characters and landscapes.

Prior to his role at Zodiak Kids, Randisi served as the EVP of consumer products at ITV Studios. Before that he served in various positions at MTV/Nickelodeon, Fox Kids Europe/Saban and Walt Disney Records EMEA.
