Nickelodeon is launching a touring trivia game show called Double Dare Live in partnership with entertainment prodco Red Tail Productions and artist management firm CB Entertainment. The live show will visit 14 different US cities in 12 states this fall, running from October 30 through to November 18.

Inspired by the hit TV game show Double Dare (pictured), the live stage tour is to be hosted by original frontman Marc Summers and sidekick Robin Russo. Double Dare Live will feature two teams made up of audience members competing to win prizes by answering trivia questions, completing messy physical challenges and conquering the legendary obstacle course.

Nick is all about Double Dare lately, announcing its first in-app partnership with Facebook for a Double Dare game earlier this week. Available through Facebook Messenger, the app game allows players to face off against their FB friends in trivia and mini-games inspired the classic game show’s physical challenges.

The show aired on Nickelodeon from 1986 to 1993 and is Nick’s longest-running game show. After stints as Super Sloppy Double Dare and Family Double Dare, a revamped version of the original trivia game show premiered on Nick this summer. It is now hosted by digital creator and actress Liza Koshy, with commentary by Marc Summers.
