Jazwares and Chinese animation distributor/brand manager WeKids Asia have entered into a strategic partnership to create new toys and media properties together, and also distribute properties and toys based on popular brands throughout Greater China.

To kick things off, WeKids will distribute Jazwares’ Hotel Transylvania toy line in its domestic market (following the third movie’s recent release in July). The distributor will also secure a Chinese broadcast commitment for the property’s TV series (pictured). Jazwares serves as master toy partner for the Hotel T property, alongside publishing partners including Simon & Schuster Children’s Group, Papercutz Comic and Bendon Publishing.

Plans to roll out more of Jazwares’ toy lines will be revealed at the China Toy Show in Shanghai next month.

The Florida-based toyco has recently signed a number of master toy partnerships, including with Epic Games for its mega-hit Fortnite to create a range featuring true-to-game figures, playsets, game-replica weapons and tools, plush, vehicles, Domez, loot boxes and environments.
