Turner has picked up broadcast rights from London-based distributor CAKE to Mush-Mush and the Mushables for its Cartoon Network, Boing and POGO channels, and also the Boomerang SVOD service it co-owns with Warner Bros. SVOD service.
Production on the new 52 x 11-minute CGI adventure series for upper preschool is currently underway at CAKE and co-pro partners La Cabane Productions (France) and Thuristar (Belgium).
This new deal with Turner builds on presales that have already been made to Canal+ and Piwi+ (France), Ketnet and RTBF-OUFtivi (Belgium), RTS (Swizterland) and RTL Telekids (the Netherlands).
In other Turner acquisition news, Boomrang recently greenlit Warner Bros. Animation series Yabba-Dabba Dinosaurs! and Scooby-Doo and Guess Who, as well as acquiring the rights to premiere Monchhichi from Technicolor Animation Productions and picking up Cloudco’s Care Bears: Unlock the Magic.
