Fred Rogers Productions and its worldwide licensing agent, 9 Story Brands, have inked a number of new licensing deals for Daniel Tiger’s Neighborhood that will see SKUs from ASO (bandages and first aid products), Cra-Z-Art (crafts and activities), Handcraft (underwear) and York Wallcoverings (wall decals) begin rolling out next spring in the US.
A number of existing partnerships for the preschool property have also been renewed, including Jakks Pacific (dolls, figures, playsets, plush, role play and accessories), CPS (apparel), Church & Dwight (oral care) and Party City Holdings (party decorations).
Earlier this year, Fred Rogers Productions and 9 Story Brands inked agreements for Daniel Tiger’s Neighborhood with licensees Amloid Corp (construction sets), Babiators (sunglasses), Bioworld Merchandising (backpacks, lunch kits and luggage), BRC Toys (ride-ons), Chouette Publishing, Crayola (mess-free drawing pads), Esquire Footwear (footwear), Kahootz Toys (activity sets), Sun-Staches (sunglasses) and Townley (bath products).
9 Story Brands launched in May, and is the dedicated consumer products division of Toronto’s 9 Story Media Group. It manages licensing programs for its own productions, as well as those from Out of the Blue Enterprises, which it acquired in January. Around the same time, The Fred Rogers Company rebranded as Fred Rogers Productions to better reflect its growth as a children’s media producer.
