DHX Media has inked a number of new broadcast deals for Waffle the Wonder Dog. Seasons one and two of the live-action comedy/drama have been picked up by ZDF (Germany), KiKA (Germany), VRT for Ketnet (Belgium), NPO Zappelin (the Netherlands), NRK (Norway), DRTV (Denmark), Canal+ for Piwi+ (France) and Minimax (Central and Eastern Europe).
And SVT (Sweden), RTP (Portugal), HOP! (Israel), CJ E&M’s English Gem (South Korea), ABC (Australia) and TVOKids (Canada) picked up the show’s first season.
Waffle the Wonder Dog—produced by Darrall Macqueen and distributed internationally by DHX Media—is definitely not a puppy anymore, having secured a greenlight for its second season from UK pubcaster CBeebies. And earlier this year, Golden Bear signed on as the IP’s master toy licensee.
