Hasbro Studios has granted Turner’s Cartoon Network the rights to air season one of Transformers: Cyberverse in EMEA and LatAm before the end of 2018 on both linear and digital.
The CGI action-adventure co-pro with Boulder Media and Allspark Animation tracks Bumblebee and his friend Windblade on their mission to repair Bumblebee’s memory after he suffers from amnesia. The series is already available on Cartoon Network (US), Okto (Singapore), Teletoon and YTV (Canada).
This international footprint expansion for Transformers: Cyberverse comes on the heels of a soft Q3 for Hasbro’s Franchise Brands segment, which saw its revenue dip 5% to US$847.7 million, due to lower sales from Nerf, My Little Pony and Transformers. But Transformers is expected to drive growth this holiday season as Hasbro builds up to the premiere of feature film Bumblebee. The toymaker has also recently launched a new Transformers-themed collectibles range called BotBots featuring 61 characters that shift shape in three to five steps.
