Kelsey Aikman has been tapped as the director of marketing and communications for Toronto, Canada-based global entertainment company marblemedia and its distribution arm, Distribution 360.
In the newly created role, Aikman will work with the communications team to create strategic brand initiatives, establish new ways to engage audiences and implement plans to drive business growth for marblemedia and D360 across all business-to-business and business-to-consumer initiatives. She will focus on making content easier for customers to find.
Aikman previously served as manager of entertainment and content marketing at CBC and as manager of promotions at Entertainment One. She has also held positions at Shaftesbury Films and Paramount Pictures Canada.
The new hire comes as marblemedia continues to expand its kids portfolio. D360 recently added 19 new shows to its roster, including 15 from Toronto’s Skyship Entertainment. A slate of new projects from marblemedia is expected to be announced in 2019.
