Disney Channel’s new original live-action movie Kim Possible, based on the popular animated series, will premiere February 15 on linear and DisneyNOW. Part one of the new eight-episode miniseries Fast Layne will immediately follow the film’s debut.

Part two of the miniseries will be released two days later on both Disney Channel and DisneyNOW. Centering around the adventures of 12-year-old Layne, the story takes off when she discovers a sophisticated talking car named VIN. It is created by Travis Braun, who recently signed an overall deal with the House of Mouse to create and produce more content for its channel and upcoming streaming service Disney+. Matt Dearborn and Tom Burkhard (Even Stevens, Phil of the Future) are serving as executive producers for the miniseries, which is produced by Lakeshore Productions.

Kim Possible, meanwhile, is a live-action comedy/adventure reimagining of the animated series that ran for four seasons from 2002 to 2007. It was written by Josh Cagan and the original creators Bob Schooley and Mark McCorkle. McCorkle and Schooley also serve as the EPs alongside Zanne Devine (Easy A). It is produced by Middleton Productions, a subsidiary of Omnifilm Entertainment.
