Australian prodco Grace: A Storytelling Company has brought in Alaric McAusland to oversee global business operations/partnerships, and production/development across television, film and live entertainment as its new COO and head of studio and production.

McAusland joins Grace from Deluxe Entertainment Services Group, where he served as managing director and country manager for ANZ. At Deluxe, McAusland helped develop post-production and delivery workflows for Netflix originals Motown Magic and Beat Bugs, a Beatles-inspired animated series produced by Grace, Vancouver’s Thunderbird Entertainment/Atomic Cartoons, and Australia’s Beyond Screen Production.

Earlier this year, Beat Bugs launched on CBC Kids, following on the heels of Target (US) and Tesco (UK) rolling out consumer products including toys, publishing, consumer electronics, apparel and accessories in 2017.

McAusland previously served as GM at Australian VFX company Dfilm, and his teams over the years have contributed to features including Warner Bros.’ Happy Feet and Paramount/Nickelodeon’s The SpongeBob Movie: Sponge Out of Water.
