Koko Rose Media is partnering with LA-based Ferly to develop licensing programs for its kid-focused lifestyle brand Deer Little Forrest in Sweden, Denmark, Norway, Finland and Iceland. The agreement will also cover publishing across Europe (excluding the UK).
In addition to exploiting current licensing and publishing assets, Koko Rose Media and Ferly are planning to create new content for a number of platforms, starting with publishing.
The partnership with Ferly comes as Koko Rose Media continues to expand its arts and lifestyle brand beyond its UK home territory. The Lantic Group was recently appointed as the US licensing agent for Deer Little Forest to develop a publishing strategy for toys, stationery, apparel and crafts. Licensing and publishing rights are held by This Is Iris (UK), Icon Licensing (Russia and CIS) and Honmoku (Japan).
In August, Honmoku brokered a deal that will see five indoor activity parks inspired by Deer Little Forest roll out in Thailand, Japan, Malaysia and Singapore. The first park is set to open in Bangkok this June, with the remaining four parks launching between 2020 and 2022.
