France’s PGS Entertainment has inked a raft of broadcast presales for preschool series Apollo’s Tall Tales, which was commissioned by France Télévisions, ZDF and Canal+. New partners include Discovery Kids (LatAm), Télé-Québec (Canada), DeAkids (Italy), DR (Denmark), MTV3 (Finland), Ouf Tivi (Belgium), SF International (Nordics), MTVA (Hungary), RTS (Switzerland), RTV (Slovenia) and LRT (Lithuania).
The 52 x 11-minute CGI series is produced by ON Kids & Family (The Little Prince, Playmobil The Movie) and will include an original song in each episode.
PGS previously secured distribution partners for the animated feature film Tall Tales from the Magical Garden of Antoon Krings, which premiered in France in December 2017 before rolling out internationally last year. Both movie and TV series were inspired by the Drôles de Petites Bêtes story collection by French author Antoon Krings, which has sold more than 20 million copies in print.
