UK-based Jetpack Distribution has acquired international distribution rights to its first feature films, all produced by Brit prodco Perplexia Pictures. Jetpack will be at Kidscreen Summit next month selling the first four family-friendly projects on Perplexia’s slate.

They are: A Horse Called Wish about a young girl who works as a stable hand; Camp Getaway (pictured) featuring teenage girls who go to summer camp on a jungle island; Inspector Sunshine, a mystery about a teenager investigating a robbery at the exotic hotel he’s staying at; and The House on Seahorse Bay, about a family that inherits a rundown beach house on a tropical island. All four are 85 minutes long and star Andrew Buckland (Catching Feelings, Jane and the Lost City, Dirty Games), Anthony Coleman (Blood Diamond, Gums and Noses, High Rollers) and Waldemar Schultz (The Kissing Booth, Troy: Fall of a City, Catch a Fire).

Perplexia will shoot the films in South Africa and Mauritius, working with local crews hired by Two Oceans Productions.

The busy film studio was founded by former Jim Henson Television president Angus Fletcher and Ronald Henry, who launched The Flying Circus, South Africa’s biggest motion-capture production house.
