Sesame Workshop is partnering with Blue Lizard Australian Sunscreen, a brand owned by Tennessee-based Crown Laboratories, to launch sun-focused educational content on the Sesame Street YouTube channel. Premiering in May during Skin Cancer Awareness Month, three sponsored “Fun in the Sun” videos will focus on sun safety and skin cancer prevention.
Blue Lizard posted educational content on its website as part of the deal, and the agreement also saw the company become a sponsor of Sesame Street on PBS on March 1. According to Sesame Workshop, the partnership is ideal because of Blue Lizard’s history of educating families and children about the importance of healthy habits.
The partnership with Blue Lizard follows a number of deals inked as part of Sesame Street‘s 50th anniversary this year. Sesame Workshop recently expanded its partnership with Puma to mark the anniversary, launching a new collection of footwear, apparel and accessories for boys and girls. Sesame Workshop also recently collaborated with TOMS, Bombas, Out of Print and DIFF Eyewear to launch lifestype collections that support families in need. For each pair of shoes purchased from the new Sesame Street x TOMS collection, for example, TOMS will give shoes to a child in need via the company’s social cause One for One.
