London-based CPLG continues to bolster its retail efforts with two new hires. Meike de Vaere (pictured, left) joins the CPLG Benelux team as retail director for the region, while Jennifer Gould (pictured, right) joins the CPLG UK team as brand and retail manager.
In her new role, de Vaere will work with retailers across the territory to maximize the CPLG portfolio with a focus on the fashion sector. She will be based in Amstelveen, Netherlands, and report to Brenda Draaisma, who was recently upped to general manager of CPLG Benelux. Previously, de Vaere served as retail and marketing director for CPLG Benelux from 2008 to 2010, and she rejoins CPLG from Florida-based food production company Parabel where she served as managing director for The Real Source.
Gould, meanwhile, will be based in London and work closely with CPLG’s UK sales team to expand existing and build new retail channels, and explore partnership opportunities across the portfolio. She joins the company from LA-based brand licensing agency Global Icons where she served as brand licensing manager.
These hires are the most recent in a raft of appointments for CPLG. In another retail-focused hire, CPLG’s Russian licensing agency CPLG Pullman tapped Oleg Zemskov for the newly created role of director of licensing sales and retail. Additionally, Maarten Weck was named EVP and MD of CPLG late last year.
