Beyond Distribution’s kids division Beyond Kids has sold a number of its shows, including Dumbotz, Beat Bugs and Wow, That’s Amazing, to international broadcasters.

Germany’s Studio 100 Media has picked up the 52 x 11-minute animated kids series Dumbotz for its children’s channel Junior that broadcasts across German-speaking Europe. BeIN Media Group network has also acquired the show for its BeJunior network in the Middle East and North Africa, to begin airing in 2020. Produced by Blue Rocket Productions for ages seven to 11,  the story finds three hopeless robots on a quest to save the world.

Austrian broadcaster ORF has acquired the Beatles-inspired Beat Bugs (52 x 15 minutes). For kids four to seven, it features music from the Beatles and sees five friends band together to explore their back garden. The distribution company has had considerable success with this Netflix original series, which is also being turned into a live musical. Produced by Australia’s Grace: A Storytelling Company and eOne’s live entertainment prodco Round Room, the musical is set to tour North America in 2020.

RTL (Croatia) and Noga Communications (Israel) snagged science-based live action series Wow, That’s Amazing (26 x 30 minutes) from Beyond Kids. A co-pro between Beyond Productions and Germany’s Super RTL, the series features tweens performing magic tricks, conducting experiments and solving puzzles.

Meanwhile, US TV channel BYU scooped up all three seasons of the TV documentary series Ice Stars (30 x 30 minutes) and the first season of Gym Stars (20 x 22 minutes). Both are produced by UK prodco Drummer Television, and feature the ups and downs of young sport stars and athletes as they compete in their respective fields.

Beyond Distribution launched its kids division last year with a catalogue of 950 hours of kids programming. The Beyond Kids library also includes BAFTA-winner Ocean Girl (78 x 30 minutes), CBBC’s Numberjacks (66 x 15 minutes), The Dengineers (36 x 30 minutes) and Junior Vets (40 x 30 minutes).
