Netflix has picked up nursery rhyme-focused 2D-animated series Lottie Dottie Mini from Brazilian producer Bromelia Productions for streaming across Latin America.

The 26 x 12-minute spinoff of Bromelia’s YouTube musical clip series Lottie Dottie Chicken (known as Galinha Pintadinha in Brazil) will be available for streaming starting November 1 in Spanish, except in Brazil where it will launch in Portuguese.

Created by Juliano Prado and Marcos Luporini, Lottie Dottie Mini hatched in 2016 for YouTube and linear broadcast distribution and is aimed at babies and preschoolers.

Meanwhile, the English-language version of Lottie Dottie Chicken has been acquired by Mexican TV channel Azteca Siete and will bow every weekday morning on its new Kidsiete preschool slot. The series also currently streams on Netflix in the US, Canada and Latin America.

As for Lottie Dottie Mini‘s existing TV and digital presence in Latin America, the series found a home with Nat Geo Kids last year premiering on all Nat Geo Kids channels and apps on November 5. A second season is expected to launch this year.

Since its introduction more than 10 years ago, the Lottie Dottie Chicken brand has accumulated 20 billion views on its Portuguese and international YouTube channels and has more than 90 licensees worldwide. DHX Media-owned digital kids network WildBrain also secured an exclusive global agreement with Bromelia in 2018 to manage Lottie Dottie Chicken’s English-language YouTube channels.
