Singapore-based studio One Animation has closed deals with multiple licensing agents to represent its flagship series Oddbods.

Planeta Junior, a Barcelona-based agency, will be responsible for building a licensing program for the preschool comedy series that includes apparel, accessories, back to school materials, home, giftware and publishing in Europe.

Meanwhile, in the Benelux region, Netherlands’ DP Factory is launching a range of arts and crafts products, stationary, partyware, games and puzzles in the first half of 2020. At the same time, Netherlands-based Speelgoedland will roll out accessories, arts and crafts, bags, stationary and watches in the region. In the UK, toyco Playpress is releasing a range of 3D pop-out greeting cards, calendars and playsets in autumn/winter of this year.

One Animation is also expanding its presence in LatAm with an Oddbods toy launch in Walmart locations across Mexico, later this month. The retail giant is releasing a collection of plush, figurines, vehicles and playsets in its 280 stores in the region. To help promote the CP launch, broadcasting partner Turner is teaming up with the studio to air a series of marathons across Cartoon Network and Boomerang channels, as well as on the company’s Mexican website this month.

Launched in 2013 on Hong Kong media conglom Next Media’s nxTomo app, before being picked up by Disney XD (US) and Télétoon+ (France), Oddbods is a 180 x seven-minute preschool comedy series with three x 22-minute seasonal specials. The dialog-free toon targets kids three-to six-years-old and has earned 10 billion views and 8.5 million subscribers across its various YouTube channels, according to One Animation.
