Now that the former Fox outfit Blue Sky Studios has been folded into Disney’s portfolio of film operations, Walt Disney Animation Studios president Andrew Millstein (pictured right) and Zootopia producer Clark Spencer (pictured left) are stepping in to new leadership positions at the two divisions.

Millstein joins Blue Sky as the co-president alongside Robert Baird, who will continue to drive the creative direction of the studio, while Millstein oversees day-to-day operations. He is reporting to general manager and president of Pixar Jim Morris (who will take on a supervisory role at Blue Sky).

As a 22-year Disney veteran, Millstein has served as president of Walt Disney Animation Studios since 2014 and general manager before that. Under his leadership, the studio produced Frozen, Zootopia, Tangled and Moana.

Spencer, meanwhile, has been named president of Walt Disney Animation Studios and will work alongside Walt Disney Animation Studios’ chief creative officer Jennifer Lee, reporting to Walt Disney Studios’ chief creative officer and co-chairman Alan Bergman. Spencer has been at Disney for almost 30 years and produced five Oscar-nominated feature films for Animation Studios, including Zootopia and Wreck-It Ralph.

There have been quite a few shakeups at Disney Studios in the last year as Pixar’s co-founder and president of Walt Disney and Pixar Animation Studio Ed Catmull announced in October that he was stepping down at the end of 2018. Then in May, Alan Horn added the title chief creative officer to his remit as co-chairman of Disney Studios, alongside Bergman.
